Russia's first radar satellite, AIST-ST, created by specialists from Samara University named after Korolev and a Special Technology Center, has passed flight and design tests and transmitted the first images of the Earth. This was announced on the university's website on June 18.

"The AIST-ST small spacecraft, the world's first radar satellite for Earth monitoring in the CubeSat format, has successfully confirmed the operability and characteristics of the target equipment," the report said.

The publication notes that during the tests, the satellite surveyed the territories of Japan, Panama, and Egypt.
