Russians have become less afraid of fraudster calls after the introduction of mandatory call labeling, according to a study by the Novophone IP telephony service, whose experts interviewed residents of the country from different regions. Since the beginning of spring 2026, the share of marked calls from Russian organizations has increased by 3% every week. This tool protects subscribers from phone fraud and spam, and helps businesses increase the conversion rate of outgoing calls and strengthen customer loyalty.
According to the survey results, only 6% of respondents do not trust labeling and still suspect a fraudster, and only 1% of respondents consider labeling useless. It is noted that 43% of the respondents immediately noticed the marking as soon as it began to appear on the screen.
Almost a third of the respondents noted that they respond to such calls more calmly, since they know in advance who is calling, and 19% are ready to communicate with more joy if the call is related to a previously submitted request.
Consumers pin practical hopes on labeling: according to the survey, 27% of respondents believe that it will reduce the flow of spam calls and advertising, and 13% see it as an effective tool against fraudsters.
