Toyota has called Russian car dealers for a closed three-day meeting, which will be held in Thailand. The former head of the association of Russian Automobile Dealers (ROAD) told about this in his Telegram channel Oleg Moseev.

"As we can see, the manufacturer continues to communicate with dealers. And that's a good thing. By the way, let me remind you that Toyota consistently ranks among the top ten in sales. In May, the brand took seventh place. I am sure that this is the result of the dealers' work and the invisible support from the manufacturer," said Moseev.

Last year, Toyota representatives confirmed that the Japanese company holds working meetings and conferences with Russian dealers of the brand. As Moseev noted at the time, Toyota held several similar meetings, it was allegedly interested in resuming operations in the Russian Federation and lobbying for the supply of its cars through China.

Toyota stopped selling cars in Russia in 2022. Japanese-made cars continue to be supplied to the Russian Federation, but according to the alternative import scheme.

Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, reported on June 10 that 3,014 new Toyota cars were registered in the Russian Federation in May, which is twice as many as in May last year (1,488 units). In total, 12.7 thousand new cars of this brand were sold in the country in January –May (+98% year-on-year).
