Graduates in 2026 improved the average test score of the Unified State Exam (USE) in four subjects. This was announced on June 18 by the press service of Rosobrnadzor.
"The results of the first Unified State Exam-2026 demonstrate an increase in the level of graduate training. Rosobrnadzor presented the preliminary results of the 2026 Unified State Exam in literature, history, chemistry and the Russian language during a press conference on Wednesday," the report said.
It is noted that the average score in the Russian language increased from 60.68 to 63.06. In addition, compared with last year, the number of exam takers increased from 638 thousand to almost 662 thousand people. The number of students who scored 61 points on the exam and above has especially increased. Russian Russian Language Control measuring Materials Development Commission head Roman Doschinsky added that 108 thousand people received 100 points in Russian.
Fewer graduates took the literature exam this year, but the exam results improved, and the average test score rose to 63.49. Sergey Zinin, head of the commission for the development of control measuring materials for the Unified State Exam in literature, stressed that the students showed good command of the skill of interpreting a literary text.
The agency added that the average score of the Unified State Exam has also increased in history. The average score this year was 57.85. The number of participants, who scored from 61 to 100 points, increased to 36 thousand people – 10% more than last year. Igor Artasov, head of the commission for the development of control measuring materials for the Unified State Exam in history, noted that the graduates coped well with the tasks of knowledge of the Great Patriotic War and the facts of the special military operation in Ukraine.
According to the results provided, the average score in chemistry increased to 58.69. In addition, there is an increase in interest in the subject — 92 thousand people took it this year, which is 8% more than the number of participants last year.
A day earlier, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Education reported that according to the results of the main period of the Unified State Exam in history, literature, Russian language and chemistry, 5,263 people received the maximum score of 100 points.
The first results for the Unified State Exam in 2026 began to arrive to graduates on June 15, and the very next day it became known about the increase in the number of history students in the country. This figure increased by 4% compared to the previous ones.
