The Iranian Foreign Ministry said there were no plans to export uranium
Enriched uranium will not be exported from Iran. This was stated on June 18 by the official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Bagai, on the air of the Iranian state television IRIB.
"We said from the very beginning that the enriched materials would not be exported from the country. One of the options is dilution (loss of quality of a mineral. — Ed.) on the territory of Iran. This is not a new option," he said.
Bagai said this shortly after the announcement of the signing of a memorandum on ending the conflict between Iran and the United States. It should be followed by additional negotiations on Tehran's nuclear program and the lifting of US sanctions.
On June 16, US President Donald Trump said that the US deal with Iran had entered a "second phase" that would be easier than the previous one.
Later, on June 17, the American leader stressed that the United States would resume bombing Iran if no final agreement was reached within 60 days, as indicated in the memorandum. On the same day, he announced Washington's intention to sign a memorandum with Tehran within 48 hours.
