Passengers of the plane that landed urgently in Sochi flew to Arkhangelsk
The backup flight with passengers of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft of the Smartavia airline, which returned to Sochi for technical reasons, flew to Arkhangelsk. This was announced on June 18 by the airline's press service.
"The passengers of flight 5N164 Sochi – Arkhangelsk took off on a backup aircraft to their destination airport," TASS quoted Smartavia as saying.
The Smartavia Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which took off from Sochi to Arkhangelsk, gave an emergency signal on June 17 and returned to the departure airport. According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, the cause of the incident, previously, was a technical malfunction on board. The press service of the Southern Transport Prosecutor's Office noted that the observance of the rights of passengers of the aircraft was taken under control.
