A Moscow court has sentenced a man to 12 years in prison for inciting terrorism.

In Moscow, 54-year-old Rahim Faradzhov was found guilty of inciting him to participate in the activities of a terrorist organization. This was announced on June 17 by the Moscow prosecutor's office.

"Taking into account the position of the Moscow City Prosecutor's office, 54-year—old Rahim Faradzhov was found guilty of inciting him to participate in the activities of a terrorist organization," the publication says in the Maks messenger.

It was established that in 2022-2023, the man committed acts aimed at involving friends and relatives in the activities of an organization recognized by the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation as terrorist and banned in Russia.

It is noted that, taking into account the position of the prosecutor's office, the court sentenced him to 12 years in prison. He will spend the first four years in prison, and the rest of his term in a high—security penal colony. A fine of 400 thousand rubles was also imposed. The verdict has not entered into legal force.

The Khabarovsk Territory Prosecutor's office reported on June 16 that a resident who transmitted information about Russian military facilities to the special services of Ukraine and made explosives to commit a terrorist attack was sentenced to 23 years in prison. The court found that from February to December 2022, the defendant established contact with representatives of the Ukrainian special services and gave them information about the location of military facilities, equipment and other data.
