The case of embezzlement of 2.5 million rubles during landscaping in Stavropol was brought to court

In Novoaleksandrovsk, Stavropol Territory, the investigation of a criminal case of fraud for 2.5 million rubles during the landscaping of a sports ground has been completed. This is reported by the regional Interior Ministry and the prosecutor's office.

The person involved in the case is a 35-year-old resident of a neighboring region, who is the director of a company that specializes in the construction of sports facilities. In November 2023, a contract was signed with him to improve the sports ground on Panfilov Street.

The investigation believes that during the work, the man intentionally purchased cheaper construction materials that did not meet quality and safety requirements. The damage to the budget exceeded 2.5 million rubles, writes IA Stavropol.Media.

The investigation of the criminal case under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Fraud committed on an especially large scale" has been completed. The materials were submitted to the Novoaleksandrovsky District Court for consideration on the merits. According to the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the sanction of this article provides for up to 10 years in prison.

At the end of May, it was reported that Tyumen had completed the investigation of a criminal case of fraud for 24 million rubles during the repair of heating systems. The person involved in the case is the 57-year-old head of a construction company, with whom, from 2020 to 2025, 19 contracts were concluded for the overhaul of heating systems, including in budgetary institutions.
