A 12-year-old pit bike driver was killed in an accident in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

In the Mansko-Uyarsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a 12-year-old boy who got behind the wheel of a pit bike was killed in a collision with a crossover. This is reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

The accident occurred on Wednesday, June 17, on Lenin Street in the village of Balai. According to the traffic police, the 12-year-old driver of a VMC 125 pit bike at an unregulated intersection did not give way to a Toyota Rav4 driven by a 70-year-old man.

As a result of the collision, a 12-year-old boy received various injuries, from which he died on the spot. All the circumstances of the tragedy are being established, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.

Meanwhile, the State Traffic Inspectorate reports that the father bought the pit bike for the child born in 2013. The agency urges all parents to refrain from buying such vehicles for their children until they reach the age of majority.
