The new Senat brand has announced the completion of preparations for sedan sales
Orders for the Senat 900 executive sedan are already being accepted, but sales have not started yet. The formation of a sales and service partner network is in its final stages. This was announced by representatives of the new Russian car brand, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported on June 17.
The company indicated that the date of the official start of sales will be announced in the near future. Earlier this week, it became known that Senat brand cars began to appear at dealers, but so far these are exhibition samples. The five—seat version of the Senat 900 will cost 12 million rubles, and the four-seat version will cost 12.5 million rubles.
The presentation of the Senat 900, the first model of the new domestic brand, took place at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026). It is based on the model of the Chinese brand Hongqi and features a redesigned front end. The sedan has already begun to be produced at the plant in St. Petersburg, and the start of production was given within the framework of the St. Petersburg forum.
The length of the luxury sedan is 5144 mm, the wheelbase is 3060 mm. It has a three-liter V6 engine with a capacity of 326 hp (450 Nm), which allows you to accelerate from zero to "hundreds" in 6.5 seconds. The engine is combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter. Thrust is transmitted to both axles via an intelligent all-wheel drive system.
In the official presentation published on June 8, it was reported that armored and special versions will be provided for the Senat 900 executive sedan.
The production of cars of the new Russian brand Senat will amount to several thousand units in 2026, and from 2027 it is planned to produce tens of thousands of cars. This was announced on June 5 by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov.
