The number of Ukrainians dissatisfied with Zelensky has almost tripled since 2023
Ukrainians' desire to replace the central government and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has grown significantly since 2023. Information about this on June 17 follows from a survey conducted by the Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).
According to the results of the study, 23% of respondents supported the election of a new president after the end of the conflict in 2023, and now it is 67%. At the same time, the number of supporters of the change of the Verkhovna Rada has also increased — 83% compared to 69% in 2023.
Residents' dissatisfaction with the government has also grown significantly: in 2023, 47% wanted a change of cabinet, while now 74% of respondents support such a step.
In general, 88% of citizens support the replacement of all government institutions in Ukraine, while in 2023 this figure was 73%.
According to a KIIS opinion poll published on January 19, Zelensky lost out in the rating of trust of Ukrainians to the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), now the country's ambassador to the UK, Valery Zaluzhny, as well as to the head of his office, Kirill Budanov (listed in the Russian Federation as a terrorist and extremist). According to the results of the study, 62% of citizens trusted Zelensky at that time, while 72% and 70% trusted Zaluzhny and Budanov, respectively.
Another KIIS study, published on May 1, shows that the number of Ukrainians supporting the withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the territory of Donbass has also increased. In March, 62% of citizens opposed the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops, while in April this figure dropped to 57%.
