Avtodor reports on the repair of the M-4 Don highway
By the summer holiday season, a set of measures to ensure traffic safety, increase the capacity and comfort of road travelers heading to the Black Sea and Azov coasts has been completed on the M-4 Don highway. This was announced on June 17 by the state-owned Avtodor company.
So, along the entire length of the highway, work was carried out to eliminate defects in the asphalt pavement, road markings were restored, and the condition of road signs and landscaping elements was checked. About 45 km of roadway has been repaired in the Moscow region, Voronezh, Rostov regions and Krasnodar Territory. Markings have been applied and updated at 16 sites, encouraging drivers to keep a safe distance.
Most of the repair work on artificial structures has been completed or postponed to the autumn period. No work related to reducing the number of lanes and organizing reverse traffic will be carried out at the overhaul facilities until September 15, the state-owned company noted.
Avtodor also recalled the temporary restriction of trucks with a maximum permissible weight of over 15 tons on the M-4 "Don" section from Goryachy Klyuch to the village of Dzhubga. It is valid on weekends and holidays during daylight hours until September 13 of this year.
The day before, Avtodor announced that traffic on the multifunctional zones (MFZ) of the M-11 Neva highway is operating normally, and there are no difficulties at entrances, exits and gas stations.
