Reshetnikov pointed to the superiority of Russia's cybersecurity over other systems.
The current geopolitical situation has allowed Russia to form one of the most technologically advanced and secure cybersecurity systems in the world. This was announced on June 17 by the head of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov.
"Russia has created a comfortable regulatory environment in this area, and the current geopolitical situation has allowed us to create the most technologically advanced and secure cybersecurity system in the world," Reshetnikov said at the Russia—ASEAN Business Forum in Kazan.
According to him, this has become an important advantage that Russia is ready to offer to partners from Southeast Asia. Russian e-commerce platforms are already operating in more than 10 countries and have a successful experience of connecting foreign sellers and manufacturers.
Through these platforms, the countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) can develop bilateral trade, expand competition in their markets, and bring local producers to the global market, Reshetnikov said.
Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam have already launched national "Made in Russia" stores on local electronic platforms. Russian businesses are also ready to actively enter the e-commerce markets of the ASEAN countries.
Russia has created a comfortable regulatory environment for the development of electronic commerce, which, combined with a high level of cybersecurity, makes cooperation with the Russian Federation especially attractive to partners from the region.
On the same day, the Secretary General of the association, Kao Kimhorn, said that the ASEAN countries are striving to increase cooperation with Russia, including in the fields of energy and food security. Kimhorn added that states are also interested in the Russian Federation in order to diversify and strengthen their supply chains of goods and energy.
