In Maloyaroslavets, Kaluga region, a man killed his sleeping son with an axe on the grounds of conflict. This was announced on June 17 by a source of Izvestia.

According to his information, the man's son was drinking and was unemployed. Because of this, the relatives often quarreled.

"On the eve of the murder, another conflict occurred between them. As a result, the head of the family grabbed an axe and beat his son while he was sleeping. The man confessed to the crime himself," the source said.

The Interior Ministry clarified that the incident occurred on June 16. A criminal case has been opened into the incident.
