In the United States, the last license that allowed operations for the supply of oil and petroleum products from Russia has been terminated. The document expired on Wednesday, June 17, at 00:01 local time (07:01 Moscow time).

The permissive measure allowed for financial transactions that were necessary for the delivery, sale or unloading of Russian raw materials and their derivatives. The license applied only to those cargoes that were actually loaded onto ships before April 17, 2026.

At the same time, the norm contained a number of significant limitations. It did not apply to transactions involving individuals and legal entities associated with Iran, North Korea and Cuba. Also, the license did not affect operations related to Crimea, the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), as well as the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions.
