The media reported on the imminent deployment of the NATO air defense system in the Turkish province of Konya

The North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) will deploy an air defense system in Konya province in Turkey. This was reported on June 16 by the TRT Haber TV channel with reference to the Ministry of National Defense.

"As part of the permanent NATO defense plan, one Italian SAMP-T air defense system will be deployed at the 3rd main air base in Konya," the publication says.

It is noted that these measures are being taken to strengthen the alliance's air defense.
