The Ministry of Health has prepared changes to the standard treatment approach for schizophrenia

The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation has prepared changes to the standard of treatment for schizophrenia, including additional drug testing for hospitalized patients. This follows from the draft order of the Ministry, which is published on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts.

The draft document provides for the possibility of additional tests for hepatitis B and C, treponema pallidum, and HIV. The standard of treatment for schizophrenia in its current form has been applied since 2022.
