Weidel declared her readiness to lead political changes in Germany

On June 16, Alice Weidel, co-chair of the opposition right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, declared her readiness to lead the process of political transformation in the country.

In this way, she reacted to a poll published by YouGov, according to which the level of support for the Christian Democratic and Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU) bloc has decreased to 20%.

"The CDU/CSU's rating has dropped to 20%, and our AfD party is now ahead of its rivals by nine percentage points from 29%. Germany wants political change — we are ready," Weidel wrote on the social network X.

Despite his unpopularity, he is able to put Germany on a war footing.

The Bild newspaper, citing a requested study by the INSA sociological institute, reported on June 6 that the level of dissatisfaction with Merz among the German population reached 77%, thereby setting a new anti-record. The politician's rating has plummeted by four percentage points compared to the end of April. At the same time, only 16% of respondents are satisfied with the work of the country's ruling coalition, while the remaining 78% expressed the opposite opinion.
