The expert spoke about a new tactic for the liberation of Konstantinovka

During the liberation of Konstantinovka, Russian units used new tactics, military expert Yuri Knutov told Izvestia.

According to him, they set up a no-fly zone for Ukrainian drones over areas where they were able to concentrate Russian attack aircraft.

"In this way, we actually created the conditions for the cleansing of the settlement," he explained.

As Knutov pointed out, Russian UAV operators took control of the Small Sky, which allowed additional forces to be brought into the city and struck from two directions, which led the Ukrainian units to panic.

As a result, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) abandoned a number of areas, including an industrial zone, the expert added.

"She plays a key role. Whoever owns it, in fact, controls the city. She's already under our control now. The residential areas themselves are being cleaned up. It still requires some time, but a turning point has occurred in the liberation of Konstantinovka, and a significant one," said Yuri Knutov.

The liberation of Konstantinovka will provide access to the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration from the south, Yuri Knutov believes. At the same time, there is an offensive on Slavyansk from the north.

"For the enemy, the threat of agglomeration coverage is already beginning to be seen. This is connected with the evacuation of enterprises and government institutions located in Kramatorsk," the expert concluded.
