Russians were told the timing of the next indexation of pensions

Pensioners who worked in 2025 will receive an increase in pensions from August 1, 2026. Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, told about this on June 16.

"Literally on August 1, we expect an increase in pensions for pensioners who worked in 2025. Indexation will be carried out in the amount of up to three individual pension coefficients, depending on the salary and contributions of a working pensioner for 2025," the deputy said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

The next increase, according to her, will take place on October 1. It will affect the salaries of law enforcement officers and military personnel, which will entail the indexation of pensions of former law enforcement officers. In physical terms, their monetary allowance will increase by about 4%.

At the same time, there is no provision for co—financing from the budget - as employers will be involved in transferring payments for employees.

Igor Balynin, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, told on June 5 who has the right to receive two pensions at once. He noted that in order to receive a second pension, it is necessary to have at least 15 years of insurance experience, 30 retirement coefficients, and reach retirement age. In 2026, men born in 1962 and women born in 1967 will be eligible for such a payment, subject to all conditions.
