Lipetsk resident was mistakenly declared dead

In Lipetsk, the court restored the rights of a man who was mistakenly declared dead. He left town because of work.

According to GOROD48, in May 2025, a man was put on the wanted list by his common-law wife due to a prolonged absence. Later, the woman made a mistake and, during identification, identified the body of the deceased man as her spouse. Based on this, a death certificate was issued.

Two months later, the man returned home and reported that he had worked at a construction site in another city. A fingerprint examination was carried out to confirm the identity. Lipchanin's data completely coincided with the data in the database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The court established the legal fact of Lipchanin's being alive. The death certificate has been cancelled.
