The renovation of the central swimming pool in Murmansk is scheduled to begin in September 2026. This is reported by representatives of the Ministry of Sports of the region in response to questions from the townspeople.

The facility was closed in August 2025 to prepare for major repairs. The swimmers' training sessions were moved to Kola and Severomorsk. This is reported by the Bi-port news agency.

In June 2026, a positive expert opinion was received. In August, the authorities intend to conduct competitive procedures and conclude a contract with a contractor.

It is also planned to commission a new swimming pool in the residential area of Roslyakovo in October. The construction is carried out using modular technology.
