Heavy rains and squally winds will hit the Crimea

Showers, thunderstorms and hail are expected in Crimea in the afternoon and evening of Tuesday, June 16. The speed of the squally wind will be up to 20 m/s. The warning was issued by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic.

In such weather, the probability of an emergency is high. Accidents at energy and housing facilities, power outages, flooding, especially in sections of mountain passes, and difficulties in transport are not excluded.

The rescue department advises not to be in bad weather on embankments and coastal defenses, not to visit mountainous and wooded areas. It is necessary to check the condition of drainage systems and storm drains, clean the drains from debris. Drivers should be extremely careful on the roads, strictly observe traffic regulations, and do not exceed the speed limit, SevastopolMedia news agency writes.

Earlier, on June 15, Alexander Ilyin, a forecaster at the Meteo-TV forecasting center, said that Muscovites would have a cool and rainy working week, but the weather would improve by the weekend. Until the evening of June 16, a "yellow" weather hazard level was announced in Moscow and the Moscow region due to a possible thunderstorm.
