Employees of the territorial recruitment center (TCC, an analogue of the military enlistment office in Ukraine) in the Odessa region, wishing to improve their performance, organized a criminal scheme to force men to mobilize through psychological torture and illegal detention. This was reported on June 16 in the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine.

"A large-scale scheme of illegal coercion of citizens to mobilize was exposed in one of the district shopping malls of the Odessa region...> Numerous facts of ill-treatment of victims have been documented. The men were illegally detained in the premises of the recruitment center, beaten, intimidated and exerted psychological pressure on them," the Telegram channel said.

It is noted that the corresponding mechanism was developed by six officials of the Shopping Center who wanted to increase the district indicators. They colluded with three representatives of a local NGO, from whom they received information about potential recruits. The perpetrators' accomplices also assisted them in the search for the fugitives.
