Putin was informed about the construction of housing for SVO fighters in North Ossetia

Programs to support SVO fighters and a large-scale renovation of worn-out housing and communal services networks have been launched in North Ossetia. The head of the republic, Sergei Menyailo, told Vladimir Putin about this during a working meeting in the Kremlin. The President stressed that issues of assistance to military personnel and modernization of housing and communal services should remain in the area of priority attention of regional authorities.

What was discussed at the meeting

37 regional measures have been approved and are in effect in North Ossetia to support participants in a special military operation, the head of the republic, Sergei Menyailo, said at a meeting with Vladimir Putin. According to him, special attention is being paid to providing fighters with their own housing — the first 100 houses have been laid in the region under the new program, and a total of 150 facilities are planned to be commissioned by spring. There are 967 people on the waiting list for housing, 800 of whom are family members of deceased servicemen. The cost of a finished house is from 75 to 95 square meters. The land plot is 4.5 million rubles, while the republican budget allocates 2 million rubles as the first installment, and the remainder is issued in a rural mortgage at 2.5% for 25 years.

Also, in Ossetia, together with the Ministry of Defense, a Missing Persons Search Center has been established, which accepts appeals from all over the country and has already helped to find 184 people. "This is a very important job," Vladimir Putin stressed.

The President separately pointed out the problem of underfunding the housing and communal services system, which has caused many utility networks in North Ossetia to deteriorate. The authorities decided to approach this issue systematically. For example, the republican vodokanal buys its own concrete and asphalt units. This will allow the company to rebuild roads on its own after excavation, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing contractor costs, explained Sergey Menyailo.

In addition, together with Gazprom, 15 km of the most complex main gas pipeline was laid in the mountains, which will make it possible to fully gasify remote high-altitude villages and provide high-speed Internet access there.

In the agricultural sector, the region demonstrates stability, despite the vagaries of the weather. Due to heavy rains, there was a slight delay in spring sowing, but local farmers adjusted their plans in time. Farmers expect to surpass last year's result, when the republic harvested 560 thousand tons of grain. "It should be better," Vladimir Putin admonished the head of the region.
