The floral industry in Russia in the summer 2026 season relies on naturalness, environmental friendliness and an individual approach to creating compositions. Svetlana Tomilina, the leading florist and designer of the Tsvetovik chain, told Izvestia about this on June 18.

According to the expert, the key idea of the season was "natural aesthetics" — striving for the most natural shapes, asymmetry and the feeling of a lively, slightly careless bouquet, as if gathered in a garden or in a summer meadow. In 2026, florists are moving away from strict symmetry and classical schemes, focusing on texture, lightness and free composition.

"Today, "disheveled" bouquets are especially in demand, where large and small buds, decorative greenery and layered textures are combined. Such compositions look more lively and emotional, while the exterior simplicity is accompanied by difficult professional work and a thoughtful color palette," Tomilina said.

Mono bouquets and compositions with one accent flower surrounded by light greenery have become a separate trend of the season. Florists intentionally vary the height of plants and create the effect of movement within the bouquet, achieving a natural, "lively" sound of each composition.

Special attention in the 2026 season is paid to the filling of bouquets. The absolute favorites are peonies — as a symbol of volume and soft texture, as well as peony-shaped and French roses in complex natural shades: from cappuccino to dusty rose and peach tones. Hydrangeas, wildflowers, sweet peas and dianthuses are also on trend, which have gained a second wind thanks to the appearance of decorative varieties with unusual petal shapes.

The bright accent of the season was amaranth, a plant with long falling inflorescences, which is used to create volume and a visual effect of "movement" in the composition. Stabilized floristry is also actively used, especially in interior and wedding solutions.

Packaging remains an equally important area, the florist added. The main principle here is environmental friendliness and minimalism. Florists are abandoning overloaded solutions in favor of natural materials: kraft paper, tracing paper, jute, burlap and matte films. The color palette of the packaging is based around natural and pastel shades — milk, sand, powdery, as well as deep green and burgundy tones.

Alternative design formats are also popular, such as hatboxes and wicker baskets, which make it possible to dispense with a vase by using a floral sponge.

Among the key trends of the season are bright "dopamine" bouquets with contrasting color combinations, pastel compositions for calm and romantic events, as well as monochrome solutions that emphasize minimalism and elegance. A separate direction is bouquets with a predominance of greenery and natural elements, creating the effect of a living garden.

Another notable trend is personalization. More and more often, bouquets are collected for a specific person or event, rather than according to standard schemes. Wildflowers, grasses, branches and seasonal plants are actively included in the composition, creating the effect of a natural landscape.

Polina Voronina, director of b2b marketing at the Flowwow flower and gift marketplace, said on April 21 that irises were the most affordable flowers this spring, but seasonal plants bring the greatest benefit to customers. According to the expert, tulips, dianthuses and alstroemeria remain the most profitable to buy. Their season lasts from March to early June, and the cost remains relatively affordable. The specialist clarified that, on average, a bouquet of irises will cost 2,722 rubles, tulips — 3,080 rubles, dianthuses — 3,223 rubles, and alstroemeria — 3,894 rubles.
