Fidan pointed to the consistent development of cooperation between Turkey and Russia.
Relations between Moscow and Ankara continue to develop and reach an institutional level. This was stated on June 16 by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan during a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
"Relations between Russia and Turkey continue to develop and strengthen in the direction that the leaders of our countries have set for us. In this regard, our relations are reaching the level of institutionalization," he said.
Fidan added that mutual visits of diplomats are continuously continuing at the highest level, Turkey cooperates with Russia in the field of diplomacy, economy and trade relations. The Turkish Foreign Minister stressed that during his visit to Moscow, he intends to work with his Russian counterpart on trade and energy issues, as well as discuss the international agenda in the Caucasus, the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia.
Earlier in the day, Sergey Lavrov said that Russia appreciates Turkey's efforts aimed at finding ways to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. Fidan, in turn, noted that the country is ready to do everything possible to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, including through mediation.
