Kalashnikov Concern has handed over improved AK-12 assault rifles to the troops

The Kalashnikov Concern has shipped a batch of AK-12 assault rifles under a government contract, which have been improved based on the experience of special operations. This was announced on June 16 by the press service of the concern.

"Kalashnikov Concern JSC has shipped another batch of improved 5.45 mm AK-12 assault rifles of the 2023 model under the current state contract," the concern wrote on the Telegram channel.

The report notes that this model replaced the AK-74 and became the main individual assault rifle of the Russian Armed Forces.

The concern stated that the number of supplied AK-12s has increased significantly since the beginning of its operation. In addition, foreign partners are increasingly interested in the model due to its effective use in the special operations zone and positive reviews.

The 2023 AK-12 assault rifle differs from previous generations in improved ergonomics, adaptation to daily use, and increased shooting accuracy.

It is noted that the production of the machine uses a modern method of powder metallurgy.

A representative of the Kalashnikov concern said on June 10 that BK-16 high-speed amphibious assault boats are used to combat unmanned enemy boats in the Black Sea. It is indicated that the BK-16 high-speed amphibious transport boat is designed for operations in the coastal zone and amphibious landings of up to 19 people on an unequipped coast.
