Almost 2.5 thousand people were affected by ticks in the Lipetsk region
Since the beginning of the season, almost 2.5 thousand people have applied to medical institutions in the Lipetsk region in connection with the sucking of ticks. The regional Rospotrebnadzor announced this on its page on the VKontakte social network on Monday, June 15.
"As of June 10, 2026, 2,421 people, including 966 children (40%), applied to medical organizations in the region for tick suction," the report says.
72% of cases of tick sucking were noted on the territory of households and adjacent plots, 13% in natural conditions, 5.9% on the territory of farming co—ops, 1.6% in cemeteries, 3% in parks, and the remaining 4.5% in other places.
According to GOROD48, almost a quarter of the ticks removed from the residents of Lipetsk turned out to be carriers of infections. Thus, 17.3% of ticks could transmit borreliosis, 6.9% — human granulocytic anaplasmosis, 0.3% — human monocytic ehrlichiosis.
Entomologists remind that ticks do not jump or chase a person. To protect against pests, it is enough to choose thick clothing without exposed skin areas.
