After signing the agreement with the United States, Iran will return to the unhindered sale of its oil and petroleum products. This was announced on June 15 by the official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmail Bagai.
"The sale of Iranian oil, petroleum products and petrochemical products, which should begin immediately after the signing of the memorandum of understanding on Friday. <...> Iran should be able to sell oil, petrochemical products and petroleum products without any obstacles and problems," he said during a briefing.
He added that under the same agreement, Iran's right to charge for environmental protection services in the Strait and insurance of passing vessels will be prescribed. The memorandum will also record the commitment of the Islamic Republic to ensure the safety of navigation in the waters of the Strait of Hormuz.
Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump said that some of the ships loaded with Iranian oil had already begun their movement through the Strait of Hormuz. According to the American leader, the ships follow the southern route, it is clean and safe there. At the same time, the head of the White House noted that there are other ways to move.
The day before, Trump confirmed the conclusion of a deal with Iran, and also announced the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, in turn, said that the agreement between the United States and Iran will be signed on June 19 in Switzerland. According to the Pakistani Prime Minister, the parties managed to reach common agreements after intense negotiations.
