Belji Belarusian plant announces import substitution of electronics for cars

Horizon Holding, which is a major manufacturer of consumer electronics in Belarus and the CIS countries, will begin production of instrument panels, multimedia displays and control units for cars of the Belarusian brand Belgee. This is stated in the message of the press service of Belji, which was received by Izvestia on June 15.

The parties signed a cooperation agreement, which provides for the development of cooperation in the field of localization of production of automotive multimedia systems. The first model to be equipped with new electronics will be the compact crossover Belgee X50+, which appeared in Russian dealerships of the brand in early April 2026. The launch of mass production is scheduled for early 2027.

Currently, the facilities of the Belgee automobile plant and partner enterprises in Belarus and Russia have launched the production of such automotive components as batteries, front fender sound insulation elements, glass, tool organizers, standard emergency call devices, bumpers, rims and tires.

As reported on May 20, construction of a modern stamping workshop started at the Belji plant, where it is planned to produce large-sized exterior body elements, including front and rear doors, sidewalls, fenders, trunk lids, hoods and roofs.
