Russia is counting on the implementation of encouraging statements on the settlement of the conflict in Iran. This was stated on June 15 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during a press conference following talks with Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov.

"We hope that the encouraging statements that were made this morning from Washington, Tehran, and Pakistan, as the country that is mediating the negotiations, that these encouraging statements will materialize," he said.

The relevant statements, as explained by the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, were discussed during negotiations with Ryzhenkov. During the talks, according to Lavrov, issues of settlement in Ukraine and compliance by the United States with the agreements reached in Alaska were also touched upon.

The signing of the agreement agreed by the Iranian and American sides is to be signed on June 19 in Switzerland. The relevant information was confirmed yesterday by the head of the White House, Donald Trump, who also announced the imminent opening of the Strait of Hormuz.

US Vice President Jay Dee Vance, commenting on the upcoming deal, pointed to its potential to supposedly change the entire Middle East for the next half century.
