The historical festival "Times and Epochs", which was held in Moscow from June 10 to 14, was attended by more than 2.5 million people. This was told by Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

According to her, Mitino Landscape Park, Moskino Film Park and Raduga Park are among the most popular locations.

"The visitors were most interested in the spectacular reconstructions of the battles of the Patriotic War of 1812. Exhibitions of military equipment from different periods and workshops on folk crafts were also popular," Sergunina noted.

The program also included excursions, performances, concerts, performances by gymnasts and mimes. This year's focus was not only on military history, but also on Russia's cultural heritage: literature, theater, music and dance.

In the Mitino Landscape Park, guests could watch the training of the Russian and French cavalry from 1812, and in the Rainbow Park they could look into the blacksmith's, archery, leather and candle workshops.

As part of the special project "Behind the Scenes of History", Muscovites and tourists were invited to get acquainted with the street exhibitions. For example, the exhibition on Revolution Square was dedicated to the work of cinematographers and photographers during the Great Patriotic War. On Tverskaya Square, you could see men's suits and women's dresses of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Among the topics of the events at the district venues are "Music of Victory", "Culture of the Russian Middle Ages" and "Ancient Theater". There, those who wished participated in educational quizzes, attended dance workshops and public speaking classes.

The festival became a part of the "Summer in Moscow" project, the key cultural event of the season. The main theme of this year is "Time to be together".
