Finnish Defense Minister Antti Hyakkanen said that Ukrainian drones should not pose a threat to the security of NATO member countries. This was announced on June 15 by the Euractiv portal.

Hyakkanen said that Kiev's creation of danger on or near the borders of the alliance was "reprehensible and wrong." He called on Ukraine to plan its operations in a different way so that they do not affect the security of NATO countries.

At the same time, Hyakkanen's deputy, Antti Kaikkonen, added that the risk of drones falling in Finland was no longer theoretical, given similar precedents in the past.

On June 6, Finnish Defense Minister Antti Hyakkanen announced his readiness to shoot down UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which will be in the country's airspace. He also noted that in such conditions it is important to be prepared so that small civilian aircraft and other civilian aircraft do not appear in the sky at the same time.
