The operator of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline has filed a lawsuit with the European Union (EU) court against the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament over their approval of a ban on the import of Russian gas. This became known on June 15 from the materials of the lawsuit published on the court's website.

The Swiss company Nord Stream 2 AG demands to cancel the regulations adopted in January. As an alternative, the plaintiff proposes to cancel a number of individual provisions of the document.
