A new three-lane overpass will appear in the north of Ulan-Ude
A three-lane overpass began to be built in the Glass Factory microdistrict in Ulan-Ude. The 500-meter-long and 18-meter-wide structure will connect Borsoev and Voronezhskaya streets, Mayor Igor Shutenkov said.
According to him, the first stone of the new overpass was laid on the day of the 360th anniversary of the city. It is expected that the facility will help unload the area near the Elevator.
A sidewalk will be laid for pedestrians, and fencing and dividing strips will be installed for cars. In addition, a traffic light will be installed at the intersection with Radartseva Street.
TS Stroy company will act as the contractor, writes IA UlanMedia. There is another contractor in the Chita crossing area, Dorstroyservice. The organization will build a tunnel overpass with a length of more than 160 meters with a sidewalk. The old crossing will be converted into a pedestrian crossing.
As the mayor noted, the implementation of the project became possible thanks to the support of federal, republican and municipal authorities.
Earlier in June, it was reported that noise strips were applied in Ulan-Ude on Tereshkova Street, near the Republican Hospital bus stop. The specialists used cold plastic, which is considered durable and noticeable on the road.
