The past week ended with moderate growth for bitcoin: BTC/USD gained 3.81%, reaching $65,665, Ethereum pulled up by 2.08% to $1,717. The market held steady despite the unfavorable macrophone: inflation in the United States accelerated to 4.2% in annual terms — a three—year high - and the outflow of funds from spot bitcoins-The ETF lasted 16 consecutive days. This was announced to Izvestia on June 15 by Andrey Loboda, a member of the RASO and the commission on mining and blockchain technology of the Finance and Investment Committee of the CCI of the Russian Federation.

According to the expert, despite macroeconomic turbulence, including CPI inflation at 4.2% year-on—year and prolonged outflows from spot ETFs, bitcoin held key support near the 200-week moving average of about $61,300. At the same time, the price did not exceed the range of $60,755–$64,762.

"The key growth factor was the geopolitical background. After reports of a decrease in tensions between the United States and Iran and de-escalation in the region, investors began to redistribute capital from defensive assets to risky ones. An additional impetus was the restoration of inflows into spot ETFs — on June 12, the first positive result in several weeks was recorded," Loboda explained.

Expectations related to the upcoming meeting of the US Federal Reserve have also increased in the market. Investors estimate the probability of maintaining the rate at 3.75% at more than 97%. At the same time, the main focus is on the rhetoric of the new head of the regulator and its impact on the further dynamics of risky assets.

The financier noted that the technical picture for bitcoin remains tense. The $66,000–$66,400 zone has not yet been broken through, however, if the positive news background and the neutral position of the Fed remain, it is possible to reach the next resistance level.

In the baseline scenario for the next week, the crypto market may remain in the range of $63,500–$68 thousand. With a negative development of events — the breakdown of geopolitical agreements or the harsh rhetoric of the Fed — bitcoin is likely to return to the $60,000–$62,000 zone.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced on June 14 that the agreement between the United States and Iran will be signed on June 19 in Switzerland. After intense negotiations, the parties managed to come to a common agreement: the fighting must be completed completely in all areas of the confrontation, including in Lebanon.

American Vice President Jay D. Vance said on the same day that the US-Iran deal, if followed, could radically change the Middle East for the next 50 years. As the politician noted, prosperity in the region will also mean lower energy prices for the American people.
