The Omsk Region has started accepting applications for the Business Battle startup competition

The Omsk Region has begun accepting applications for the Business Battle startup competition, which is supported by VTB.

According to the bank's press service, entrepreneurs over the age of 18 who already have their own business or who are just about to launch it can take part in the event.

The contest participants will go through several selection stages. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, they will learn how to analyze the market, form marketing strategies, make business plans, and develop financial models.

The finalists will present their projects to the jury. The best authors will receive prizes from partners and organizers of the event. The winner will receive 1 million rubles for business development.

"The economic growth of the regions largely depends on people who are ready not to wait for ideal conditions, but to create new products, services and jobs today. Entrepreneurs take risks, invest their own resources and create new economic growth points. The goal of projects like Business Battle is to help them navigate this path more effectively: to learn how to build business processes, assess risks, and scale projects," said Denis Bortnikov, Deputy President and Chairman of the VTB Management Board. He added that the bank considers entrepreneurship support as a long-term investment in the development of the regions, their business environment and competitiveness.

The Governor of the Omsk Region, Vitaly Khotsenko, said that participation in the project would help entrepreneurs gain new knowledge, find partners and expand business development opportunities.

The Business Battle competition, aimed at supporting small and medium-sized businesses, was first held in the Kaliningrad Region eight years ago. In 2025, the project expanded its geography. The competition is now taking place in the Stavropol Territory, Mordovia, Kostroma and Omsk regions. The organizer is the Russian media group "Western Press".
