According to the results of last week (the 24th), slightly more than 22 thousand new passenger cars were registered in Russia, which is a quarter (-25.1%) less than a week earlier, when 29.4 thousand cars were sold. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this in his Telegram channel on June 15.

According to the expert, even fewer cars were sold during the same holiday week last year. As a result, the growth was 42% compared to the same period last year.

There is also a negative trend in the commercial segment. LCV registrations decreased by 29.3%: only slightly more than 1 thousand light commercial vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tons were registered.

The cargo segment showed the strongest negative dynamics (over 3.5 tons), where sales decreased by 30% and amounted to 694 units. Compared to the same week last year, an increase of 7.4% was recorded. As for other segments of the car market (buses, motor vehicles and trailers), the week-to-week decrease ranged from 17% to 28%.

Earlier, on June 9, it was reported that the Russian car brand Tenet sold 84.8 thousand cars from the moment it entered the market in September last year to May this year, which allowed it to gain a foothold in the top three car market leaders.
