The agreement between the United States and Iran will be signed on June 19 in Switzerland, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said.

According to the Pakistani Prime Minister, after intense negotiations, the parties managed to come to a common agreement: the fighting must be completed completely in all areas of the confrontation, including in Lebanon. Shahbaz Sharif noted that at the stage preceding the official signing of the document, the intermediary countries will have to organize several additional rounds of consultations.

The President of the United States also said that navigation through the Strait of Hormuz will be opened after the signing of a deal aimed at clearing the water corridor.

"With the opening of the strait after the signing of the deal on Friday, oil will flow back both ways for the region and the whole world in order to clear mines!" the politician said.

According to Trump, the agreement should contribute to strengthening peace and security in the Middle East. The American leader also said that previous US presidents had failed to reach similar agreements with Iran, while the current negotiations had brought the parties closer to resolving their differences.

Trump spoke positively about the contribution of Russian President and Chinese President Xi Jinping to the process of resolving the Middle East conflict, The New York Times (NYT) reported, citing an interview with the American president.

"He [Trump] praised the two leaders — Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin — for helping to reach an agreement," the publication said.

Criticism of Netanyahu

In an interview with The New York Times, Trump called Netanyahu a "complicated man" and criticized his actions, saying they almost disrupted the preparation of a final agreement between Washington and Tehran.

"He is a very complex person, <...> and, frankly, he should be very grateful to us <...>," the US president said.

Later it became known that the Israeli Prime Minister urgently wants to arrange a meeting with Trump after the politician returns from the Group of Seven (G7) summit.

"The source said that Netanyahu is trying to arrange a meeting after Trump returns from the G7 summit in Europe next weekend or shortly after," CNN said in a statement.

US actions in disrupting negotiations with Iran

If negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program break down, Washington will consider two options for further action, Trump said in a statement.
