Trump said Netanyahu needed to thank the United States for its efforts on Iran

US President Donald Trump called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a "complicated man" and also sharply criticized him for the attacks that almost derailed the final US agreement with Iran. Trump made his statements in an interview with The New York Times on June 14.

"He is a very complex person <...> and, to be honest, he should be very grateful to us <...>. Because if Iran had nuclear weapons, Israel would not have existed for two hours," he said in an interview.
