The Armenian opposition has questioned the legitimacy of the parliamentary elections

On June 14, six opposition parties in Armenia in a joint statement called the parliamentary elections held in the country illegitimate.

The text of the document states that the June 7 vote does not reflect the will of the Armenian people. Politicians have blamed the current Prime Minister of the republic, Nikol Pashinyan, for any further escalation in the country.

"The official data on the elections do not reflect the real will of the people. <...> In such conditions, the recorded results cannot serve as a basis for the formation of a legitimate and trusted government by the majority of the people. All responsibility for any further escalation of the situation in the country lies entirely with Nikol Pashinyan and his administration," RIA Novosti quotes a fragment of the message.
