The Kuryanovo station of the Biryulevskaya line of the Moscow metro under construction will be decorated in an industrial style. This was announced by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in the Maks messenger.

According to him, the architectural concept of the station is inspired by the history of the Pechatniki district, where it will be located. Reinforced concrete is planned to be widely used in the design: this material will be used for finishing track walls, columns and ceilings.

"The ground pavilions will be deliberately simple in shape, consisting of a combination of reinforced concrete portals and a glass volume. The beams under the ceiling will be made of aquapanels with a monolithic concrete finish. Natural stone will be used for the floors of the station," Sobyanin said.

Kuryanovo station will become part of the first section of the Biryulevskaya line and will be located between Batyuninsky and the Projected passage No. 5112.

The construction of the station has already begun. Currently, work is underway on the construction of the foreshore and enclosing structures of the excavation. The construction of the left tunnel from the Klenovy Boulevard station to the transition chamber near Kuryanovo also continues. After its completion, the builders will begin to drill the right tunnel. In 2027, a double-track tunnel will be laid from the transition chamber to the Kuryanovo station.

The Biryulevskaya line will run from the territory of the former ZIL industrial zone to the Biryulyovo Zapadnoye and Biryulyovo Vostochnoye districts. The new line will house 10 stations. According to Sobyanin's estimates, its launch will improve transport services for more than 1 million residents of the capital.

Currently, the stations "ZIL", "Island of Dreams", "Klenovy Boulevard", "Luganskaya", "Kaspiyskaya" and "Kuryanovo" are under construction. Four more stations — Moskvorechye, Lipetsk, Lebedyanskaya and Biryulyovo — are being designed.

It is planned to complete work on the first section of the line from ZILA to Kuryanovo in 2028, and on the second section from Kuryanovo to Biryulyovo in 2029.
