Russian russians have launched a grant program for foreign film projects in Russian, said Ilan Shor, head of the Association for the Support of the Russian Language and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization Eurasia.

The total amount of grant support will amount to almost 300 million rubles. The funds will be distributed in three areas: feature films, short films and documentaries.

Shor stressed that ANO Eurasia is systematically working to strengthen the role of the Russian language. Russian Russian Language Support Association has been established by the organization, it is opening centers of Russian language and culture in the post-Soviet countries, and now it is expanding this direction through cinematography.

"For us, Russian is not just a means of communication, but the language of culture, creativity, mutual understanding and good neighborliness. It remains a powerful unifying force that helps people from different countries better understand each other, maintain cultural ties, and find common ground regardless of borders and distances. We appreciate it, develop it and support those who create new works in Russian. That is why we are launching this grant program," Shor said.

He stressed that the goal of the project is to provide talented authors, directors and producers outside of Russia with more opportunities to screen stories in Russian and promote their work. "I am confident that the new films will help strengthen cultural ties between our peoples and contribute to the promotion of the Russian language as a language of cooperation, creativity and open dialogue," concluded Shor.
