The NPP reported a lack of power supply for more than two days
The Zaporizhia NPP has been without external power supply for more than two days, and its internal consumption is supported by diesel generators. This was announced on June 13 by Evgenia Yashina, Director of Communications at ZAES.
"The station has been without external power supply for more than two days. Her needs are supported by the operation of diesel generators," Yashina told RIA Novosti.
She stressed that there were no violations in the operation of the security systems, and the situation was under the control of the station staff.
On June 11, the press service of the Zaporizhia NPP reported that the plant had lost external power supply. The 330 kV Ferroalloy-1 high-voltage power transmission line was switched off by automation on the evening of June 10. After the loss of electricity, the station switched to power from diesel generators.
Alexey Likhachev, Director General of the Rosatom State Corporation, said on June 7 that Kiev, by organizing attacks on the nuclear power plant, was trying to completely exhaust and psychologically suppress the plant's employees. Likhachev stressed that Kiev's actions are devoid of logic and common sense.
