Since the beginning of autumn, during the medical examination of citizens, increased attention will be paid to cardiovascular risks, including assessing the likelihood of coronary heart disease. Yulia Drozhzhina, a member of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection, told about this on June 13.

"On September 1, 2026, the order of the Russian Ministry of Health comes into force, which approved a new form of the record card for preventive medical examination and medical examination," Drozhzhina told RIA Novosti.

The updated form includes new indicators related to the assessment of cardiovascular risks, including the lipid profile and the likelihood of developing coronary heart disease. For patients, medical examinations will remain free and accessible within the framework of compulsory medical insurance. The list of risk factors and diseases that doctors will pay attention to has also been expanded: cognitive impairments, falls, fractures due to osteoporosis, prediabetes, osteoporosis, Alzheimer's disease and a number of mental disorders.

Drozhzhina noted that the changes reflect modern health challenges. If earlier medical examinations were focused on the detection of already known chronic diseases, now more attention is being paid to the early detection of conditions that may not manifest themselves for years, but affect the quality and duration of life.
