The French police do not take any action when Russians complain about discrimination. This was announced on June 13 by the Consul General of Russia in Marseille, Stanislav Oransky.

"The Consulate General regularly receives such appeals. <...> However, we note that when citizens address such issues to local law enforcement agencies, the French side is inactive," the diplomat said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to Oransky, the Consulate General is closely monitoring such signals and immediately taking control of the situation.

On June 13, Oransky reported that a Russian child adopted by French citizens more than 15 years ago had his bank account blocked because of his place of birth. According to the diplomat, Russian citizens can often find themselves in absurd situations when interacting with banks and government institutions in France.
