On June 12, Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian congratulated Russian Leader Vladimir Putin on Russia Day and expressed hope for further development of relations between the two countries.

"I am confident that the strategic partnership between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation, which has been demonstrated over the past year in various regional and international spheres, will expand through joint efforts in all areas," Peseshkian's press service said in a telegram.

In addition, the Iranian leader expressed hope for further development of the mutual interests of the peoples of both countries.

A festival of dishes of the peoples of Russia prepared by soldiers of the international Pyatnashka brigade was held in the Donetsk People's Republic on the occasion of Russia Day. Dishes of Greek, Abkhazian, Armenian, Ossetian, Tatar, Korean and Yakut cuisines were presented on the site. Master classes in quilling, origami, bracelet weaving and pancake making were also organized for the guests.

As part of the celebration of Russia Day, residents of different cities organized festive events and participated in them. The festivities started on June 11. More than 500 activists took part in a festive performance in Moscow.: They performed folk dances in national costumes, then lined up in the word "Russia" and solemnly unfurled the national flag of the Russian Federation.
