The priest listed the traditions related to the consecration of honey and nuts.

On the days of the Honey and Nut Saviours, the custom of consecrating the gifts of the new harvest, including honey, nuts and grains, remains. These rituals are not only associated with seasonal work, but also carry a deep spiritual meaning. The dean of the Baltai district of the Saratov diocese, Priest Oleg Zhilyakov, told Izvestia about this.

According to him, the Honey Savior falls during the period when the honey harvest is completed, so believers bring it to the temple for consecration.

"People bring honey, consecrate it and thank the Lord for the gifts they have received," the priest said.

He added that a similar tradition is maintained on the Nut Holiday, which coincides with the completion of nut harvesting and the beginning of bread harvesting.

"Nuts and grain crops are ripe by this time. Believers bring them to the temple, consecrate them, and also do not forget to thank God for the harvest," Zhilyakov explained.

The priest stressed that the products themselves are not the main meaning of the holidays. He noted that the consecration only complements the church events to which the days of the Savior are dedicated.
