Hamburg airport was evacuated due to pressing the emergency button

Passengers and staff were evacuated at Hamburg International Airport after one of the people activated the emergency button on the door. This was reported by the Bild newspaper on June 12.

According to the newspaper, an unknown person illegally entered the inspection area, after which the security system was activated.

"This passenger was immediately detained by the Federal Police and taken back to the public area," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, the airport has already resumed operations, but flight delays persist throughout the day.
